Comedian-actor Raju Srivastava gains consciousness after 15 days

Comedian-actor Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack earlier this month during his gym session and was admitted at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. News about his health worsening had left his family, friends and fans distraught. But now, the actor’s condition is expected to be stable and he gained consciousness after fifteen days.

As per recent reports of the news agency ANI, the comedian’s personal secretary Garvin Narang spoke about Raju’s recouping health. “Raju Srivastava gained consciousness today after 15 days. He’s being monitored by doctors at AIIMS Delhi. His health condition is improving,” he said in the statement. This news comes after the comedian actor was put on ventilator after suffering a brain damage.

Raju Srivastava collapsed during his gym session on August 10. The actor complained of chest pain and was immediately admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi by his trainer. Reports also have it that the actor was given CPR twice to revive his heartbeat. While initially, his condition was seen to be improving, soon after, reports of his health deteriorating started doing the rounds. The comedian was said to have suffered a brain damage after which he was put on ventilator.

 

Followed by this, many celebrities expressed concern over the comedian’s condition. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan also sent a special voice note inspiring Raju to wake up. Later, Shekhar Suman, who is close to the comedian, took to social media to assure fans that his health condition is improving.

Along with him, the comedian’s family too asserted the same. Raju’s brother Dipoo Srivastava revealed that his brother’s condition is improving in a statement given to Indian Express.com. He said, “Raju ji is stable, doctors are doing their best and treating him. I request his fans to pray for him, we are expecting some good news soon. Doctors have said he will recover.”
