Brahmastra Box Office Estimate Day 3: Collects Rs. 46 crores on Sunday; records Rs. 125 crore opening weekend

Brahmastra has recorded an extraordinary opening weekend as the business saw an upward trend through the first three days. The movie collected Rs. 37 crores on the opening day, followed by Rs. 42 crores on the second day, and finally, Rs. 46 crores on Sunday, taking the three-day total to Rs. 125 crores. This is the biggest opening weekend total for Ranbir Kapoor, surpassing his previous record holder, Sanju. This is a historic result for a film that has been released without a single holiday

Of Rs. 125 crores, Brahmastra has collected approximately Rs. 16 crores from the South Indian dubbed version, wherein the Telugu dub was leading from the front clocking in over Rs. 13 crores. Brahmastra has hit a century with its performance in the Hindi version too. Through the 3 days, the movie has collected Rs. 109 to 110 crores with the Hindi version, and this too is among the Top 5 opening weekends of all time for a Bollywood film.

The anticipation around the film has resulted in it smashing several records through the weekend and it’s the hold in collections on Monday that will determine the fate of Brahmastra. A strong day to the north of Rs. 16 crores will result in the film starting its journey to become a successful venture. But a day south of Rs. 14 crores would spell troubles in the time to come. A Rs. 15 crore range Monday is a borderline result for Brahmastra, putting it in the wait and watch stage. The film has done well across the board through the weekend – be it in the North or South, single screens or multiplexes. As expected, the three national chains have done over 50 percent of the total business with 3D and IMAX 3D versions recording phenomenal occupancy. The 2D version has also picked up well on Sunday, which does indicate a possibility of a stronghold in collections on Monday.
