Amit Sadh recalls his depressed phase, “Jab insaan ki zindagi mein dukh aata hai, uska dimag kharab ho jata hai”

Amit Sadh has spoken about the phase in his life where he faced depression quite a few times before. At a time when the entertainment world and the audience is heartbroken and shocked by the alleged suicide of actress Tunisha Sharma, the Kai Po Che actor has shared the importance of having a strong support system during these times.

Speaking with E-Times, Amit said, “I have been very fortunate that I’ve had good people in my life. When I was going through the phase, a few genuine people called me, spoke to me and I felt okay after a few days.”

He also added that as actors spend a large number of time on the sets, it is important for them to be nicer with each other. It is worth mentioning here that Tunisha’s death took place on the sets of her show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.

Amit added, “Jab insaan ki zindagi mein dukh aata hai, uska dimag kharab ho jata hai. Tab woh insaan galat cheezon ke bare mein sochne lagta hai (People lose their mind when they’re subjected to sorrow. That’s when they start thinking the wrong way).

Last month, Amit was in the news when he revealed on Chetan Bhagat’s podcast that he had contemplated quitting the film industry after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, his Kai Po Che co-star, in June 2020. The actor also revealed that he had tried dying by suicide four times between the ages 16 to 18.

On the work front, Amit was seen in two web shows in 2022 – Duranga and the second season of Breathe: Into The Shadows. The latter also starred Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal role.
