Rakul Preet Singh has made her mark in Hindi as well as South film industry and is considered among the top actresses. Her recent release Chhatriwali, based on sex education recently made an OTT release on Zee5. The actress has given several versatile performances and continues to do so. Now the actress is all set to share screen with veteran actor Kamal Haasan.
In a recent interview, Rakul Preet revealed that she will be sharing screen with Kamal Haasan in Indian 2. She said, “It was very exciting. I mean, Kamal Haasan sir is an institution in himself. And, I feel very lucky that I’ve gotten an opportunity to work with him.”
She further added, “You know, Kamal sir, Amit ji – these guys are institutions. They are films. The Indian cinema belongs to them. They have been there for so long. Out of the 100 years of Indian cinema, they’ve been there for so long – 60 years I think – both of them. It’s just amazing. It just inspires you that there are no shortcuts to success. You have to be driven and you have to be so passionate about your work. Because that’s the only way you can reach that kind of a legendary state.”
During the interview, she also divulged that she has finished shooting her part for the Tamil films, i.e., Ayalaan and Indian 2. However, the actress did not say much about her role from the films. The actress will be soon returning to the sets of both the films to shoot a song sequence.
Indian 2 is an upcoming Tamil-language action film, directed by S. Shankar. The film is a sequel of a 1996 film Indian. The film was announced in September 2017. The shooting was halted due to an accident on the sets in February 2020, leading to death of few crew members.
Currently, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh was recently seen in Chhatriwali directed by Tejas Deoskar. In her pipeline, she has Meri Patni Ka Remake in Hindi, Ayalaan, 31 October Ladies Night is bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.
