Amid Coronavirus scare, Parineeti Chopra urges everyone to not take the situation lightly

Yesterday, World Health Organisation (WHO) announced Coronavirus as a pandemic, as the number of infected countries and people is on a rise. With every new update about the same, a part of the internet seems to panic while the other half dismisses it as a mere hype. Actor Parineeti Chopra, on Instagram, has now sent out a message, urging everyone to not take it lightly.

Pari shared a post by an Italian woman who shared a reality check about how grave the situation in Italy is and how the mainstream media of the United States did not capture it in their coverage. “GUYS STOP BEING OVERCONFIDENT AND READ THIS! Stop calling it a “hype on social media.” Stop saying “it only affects the elderly.” Stop saying “oh but the death rate of flu is more.” Stop thinking you are smarter than the virus. You are not. Coronavirus is real. Its extremely contagious and unstoppable. Please be smart. And be safe,” she wrote. Hope we all are taking the necessary notes already!

While Pari awaits the release of The Girl on the Train, the trailer of her and Arjun Kapoor’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar also recently came out, and will release on 20th March. The actor is also working on ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal’s biopic.
