Exclusive interview! Adah Sharma on 4 years of ‘Commando 2’: Vidyut Jammwal is riveting as a co-star, and dexterous as a person

After impressing as ‘Bhavana Reddy’ in ‘Commando 2’ and ‘Commando 3’, Adah Sharma is gearing up for the next instalment in the franchise. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress opened up on her bonding with co-star Vidyut Jammwal on the sets, memories from her shooting days and more. Excerpts…
‘Commando 2’ completed four years of release this month. How does it feel?
It feels like it does after running a marathon and eating pineapple cake right after.

How did you come on board for the film?
I had auditioned for it. I didn’t get a call back for three months and heard they wanted a “big star” to play the role. During the time, my South film ‘Kshanam’ had released and was a massive hit .It was announced that it was going to be remade as ‘Baaghi 2’ in Hindi. The makers of ‘Commando’ called me back for a meeting at this time and then Bhavana, who was a Haryanvi character was changed to a Telugu cop because no actor in Hindi had done that accent before. It would be different and hopefully interesting. And I got the part! You could also sum it up as divine intervention (laughs).
