KGF – Chapter 2 has done roaring business at the box office on its second Sunday as the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 23.50 to 24.50 crores to take the total collections to Rs. 322 crores. The movie has jumped by approx. 30%, and has become the 10th entrant in the prestigious Rs. 300 crore club.
Be it East, West, North or South, the growth has come across the nation and this is a very positive sign as this trend now suggests a strong number in the third week too. Basically, KGF – Chapter 2 has proved to be that film which draws huge crowds on the weekends and then settles down at relatively lower levels on weekdays.
With Eid falling in the middle of third week, the film won’t show much of a drop in the third week and this even gives it the legs to challenge or rather even surpass the lifetime collections of Dangal (Rs. 375 crore). KGF – Chapter 2 is a success story, rather one of the biggest success stories with an unprecedented ROI. The costs were kept under check, and returns are now very fruitful.
It’s a global blockbuster with the North Indian marketing firing the best, even better than the territories down South. KGF 2 is expected to collect anywhere between Rs. 23 to 25 crore on the weekdays to put up an aggregate two week total of Rs. 345 crore. Its the run in third weekend and jump on the Eid holiday that will determine the long run total.
