The highly anticipated teaser of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush was unveiled on Sunday night at Ayodhya. While Prabhas plays Lord Ram, the actress essays the role of Sita in the upcoming Ramayana film. In the teaser, Kriti is in a lilac outfit, playing the graceful Sita.
Talking about her character, during the teaser launch event Kriti shared, “I consider myself fortunate because very few actors get a chance to be a part of such a film, to play a part like this. I got it quite early in my life. I remember the last day of my shoot; I was very emotional because I didn’t want to leave the part. It’s been a dream experience. I just hope I don’t disappoint you all. I hope you like me.”
The film is based on Ramayana, showcasing the triumph of good over evil. Produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles, the film features Prabhas as Lord Ram, while Kriti plays the role of Janaki (Sita). It also stars Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Sunny Singh as Lakshman. Adipurush is slated to release on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D. It will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in theatres.
Other than Adipurush, Kriti’s upcoming line-up of films truly promises of continuing her streak as Bhediya, Shehzada, Ganapath, are some of the most anticipated films of recent times. A film with Anurag Kashyap is also on the cards for the star, which will feature Kriti in a completely new avatar.
