Rajinikanth appreciates Chiranjeevi starrer Godfather, calls it ‘excellent’; director Mohan Raja reacts

The remake of the Mohanlal, Manju Warrier starrer LuciferGodfather featuring Chiranjeevi, has been receiving rave reviews, especially in the South sector. The film also released in Hindi and features Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in a pivotal role. Directed by Mohan Raja, the action entertainer is also garnering a lot of appreciation from the industry people too. And the recent one to have caught up on the film is none other than Rajinikanth. The Thalaivar had only good words for the film and the filmmaker took to social media to express his gratitude towards the Tamil superstar for his kind words.

Director Mohan Raja took to Twitter to share a poster of Godfather, along with a caption about what Rajinikanth had to say about the film. “Superstar watched #Godfather ?? Excellent!! very nice!! very interesting!!! are few of the remarks in his detailed appreciation on the adaptions made for the Telugu version.” He further went on to share, “Thank u so much Thalaiva @rajinikanth sir, one of the best moments of life.. means a lotttt ??”

While Chiranjeevi plays the role of Mohanlal from the original, Salman Khan is seen in the role, originally essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also directed the Mollywood version. Apart from that Nayanthara played the role of Manju Warrier whereas Satyadev Kancharan played the antagonist, which was essayed by Vivek Oberoi. Godfather released on October 5, 2022.

The film kicks off with the demise of a ‘godfather-like’ political figure, followed by which a series of conspiracies are set in motion by a nexus of greedy politicians and businessman to acquire the powerful throne. Godfather aka Chiranjeevi, who is a son-like figure to the politician, sets out on a mission to restore order and save the citizens from the consequences.
