Legendary screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar turned 78 today. On his special day, his son and actor-singer Farhan Akhtar wished him through a social media post. Farhan posted a picture with a heartfelt-note in the caption. Along with him, Javed Akhtar’s daughter Zoya Akhtar too wished her father via Instagram.
On Tuesday, Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram and posted a black and white picture of his father Javed Akhtar on Instagram. In the photo, Javed can be seen in a coat and posing for the camera. Sharing the picture, Farhan commented, “Happy birthday pa. You know what you mean to me and to every person who’s life, thinking and work you have influenced for the better. Love you” along with tagging Javed Akhtar.
Many industry friends dropped their love in the comments section soon after Farhan dropped the photo. His wife Shibani dropped heart emojis. Chunky Panday commented, “Happy birthday Javed Saab”.
Zoya Akhtar also posted an old picture of her father from 1964 and wrote, “Happy birthday pa”.
Hrithik Roshan commented, “Happy birthday Javed uncle” while Karan Johar wrote, “Stunning picture! Love you Javedsaab”.
Javed Akhtar is an Indian poet, lyricist and a screenwriter. He has written for many superhit films like Sholay and Deewar. He is married to Shabana Azmi and is the father of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. Javed has achieved several awards in his career span, including Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
Akhtar recently saw the release of his new book, titled ‘Jadunama’. The book originates its title from the screenwriter’s nickname Jadu. It is a compilation of extracts from his famous public speeches, and quotes.
