In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt while reflecting her life decisions made in 2022, shared that she would never regret marrying and embracing motherhood at the peak of her career. It was for sure the most eventful career of Alia’s life as she not only got married and had a baby, but also delivered blockbusters like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Brahmastra in 2022.
While speaking to ETimes, Alia stated, “Yes, at the peak of my career, I decided to get married and have a baby. But who says that marriage or motherhood will change anything to do with my work? Even if it does, so be it. I don’t care. I knew that in life, I would never regret the decision to have a baby. It’s a natural instinct. It’s the best decision that I have ever made.”
She further added, “Every moment is more meaningful as a mother. Also, I believe in myself as an actor. If you work hard, are a good actor and if people want to work with you, work will come to you. And if work doesn’t come to you, then so be it. Maybe it’s not your time. I am not someone who stresses too much about it. I value my work a lot, but I also value my life beyond it, and I want to strike a balance between the two. I want to do what my heart says,”. Alia seemed to make it clear that even if she does not get work in future due to the decisions she took, she would not stress much over it.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in April 2022 and welcomed their daughter Raha in November this year. The couple recently were spotted together at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s engagement bash at Antilia.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. She is also reported to get back on set post her delivery with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra. In her pipeline, she also has director Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Apart from this, she will mark her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone.
