Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Anees Bazmee makes it big, sets the stage for No Entry Mein Entry next

The veteran director has done that. With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he is back in the reckoning in a big way, and how. The last time that he scored big at the box office, it was with Welcome Back. That film had released way back in 2015 and now 7 years after the arrival of the comic entertainer, he has now hit it out of the park with horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The Kartik Aaryan starrer, which currently stands at Rs. 92.05 crores, has in fact managed to come close to the entire lifetime of Welcome Back (Rs. 97 crores) in one week flat.

The next target for the filmmaker is Rs. 100 crores, and if he is indeed helming No Entry Mein Entry next then rest assured, it won’t take him a week to achieve that. In fact, the film will manage to do that in the opening weekend itself as the anticipation for the sequel to 2005 is sky-high even though 17 years have gone by. There have been murmurs for way too long that Anees Bazmee has already put together a script for the Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan starrer, and one just hopes that this time the film indeed goes on floors.

Coming back to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 though, the Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu starrer is a hit and soon enough Anees Bazmee will have his biggest grosser ever, and the second Rs. 100 Crore Club success after Ready which had scored Rs. 120 crores in its lifetime.

This snub hasn’t gone down well with Karan who was instrumental in re-launching Kiara in the web series Lust Stories. However a source close to the development defends Kiara’s inability to oblige her mentor. “Kiara is now as much a Dharma girl as Janhvi. But she has to complete Laxmmi Bomb with Akshay Kumar and Indoo Ki Jawani with producer Nikhil Advani. Her dates for these assignments clashed with Dharma’s Mr Lele. No hard feelings. She will have many opportunities to do other films with Dharma productions.” Incidentally, Karan Johar is not the only hotshot filmmaker Kiara has said no to. Mohit Suri wanted to cast Kiara with John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur in the sequel to Ek Villain. Kiara couldn’t accept the offer. The role has now gone to Disha Patani.
