Brahmastra Box Office: Film collects USD 4.36 million at the North America box office on its opening weekend

The much talked about and keenly anticipated release Brahmastra hit screens last week on Friday. Directed by Ayan Mukherji the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy made headlines in the run up to its release. Touted to be one of the biggest money-spinners of the year, Brahmastra came with immense hopes and expectations. Living up to the same, the film opened on a thunderous note assisted by the wide screen count and hype surrounding it.

In fact, at the North America box office Brahmastra has been doing rather well. Enjoying one of the widest releases for a Bollywood film in the recent past, the Ayan Mukherji directorial managed to rake in a massive USD 4.36 million [Rs. 34.60 cr.] over its opening weekend alone. Dubbed in multiple languages and featuring varied formats from IMAX 3D to normal 2D, Brahmastra captured the audiences’ interest across the demographic.

Currently, Brahmastra continues to draw in the audience and is expected to see further growth in business. Enjoying a two week run at the box office window with little to no competition trade predictions claim that Brahmastra is certain to post good collection figures over its first week as well.
