Former NU’EST member Hwang Minhyun to release first solo album in February

South Korean singer-actor Hwang Minhyun is gearing up to release his first solo album in February. On January 20, Minhyun’s agency PLEDIS Entertainment announced, “Hwang Minhyun is working diligently on preparing his solo album, with the goal of a release in February.”

As Korean tabloid Soompi notes, while Minhyun has released solo songs before, this would be his first time releasing his own solo album since his debut with NU’EST in 2012.

With this, Minhyun is set to be the third NU’EST member to go solo, following Baekho with Absolute Zero in October 2022 and Kim Jong Hyun (formerly JR) with MERIDIEM in November 2022.

Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun is coming off his hit drama Alchemy of Souls. He will also appear on Mnet’s upcoming show Boys Planet – which is the male spinoff for Girls Planet 999 – as a “star master.”
