South Korean actors Han Hyo Joo and Joo Ji Hoon might co-star in a new sci-fi drama Dominant Species (literal title).
According to Korean media portal Soompi, a source from Han Hyo Joo’s agency BH Entertainment responded to reports, related to her casting the drama, stating, “Han Hyo Joo has received an offer to star in the new drama ‘Dominant Species’ and is currently reviewing the offer.” Joo Ji Hoon is also currently in talks to play the male lead.
Dominant Species tells the story of a world of superior genes and viruses where all food is consumed in the form of a pill. The drama comes from screenwriter Lee Soo Yeon, who previously worked on Forest of Secrets (also known as Stranger) and Grid. The new sci-fi drama is scheduled to begin filming later this year and is currently in discussion to be revealed on a global OTT platform.
