“Is Pathaan a family film?” asks netizen; Shah Rukh Khan gives a savage reply

After being a part of the nationwide controversy, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is all set to grace the silver screen tomorrow January 25. Ahead of the release of the film, the superstar hosted an #AskSRK session on Twitter, and as expected the majority of the questions were about Pathaan. However, the one, which grabbed the attention of Khan was whether Pathaan is a family film.

For the unversed, on Tuesday, King Khan conducted an interactive #AskSRK session for a brief time. A Twitter user asked him if he can watch Pathaan with his family. In response, Shah Rukh tweeted, “I saw it with my family so I guess you can too.”

His reply won hearts on the micro-blogging site. His tweet has bagged over 196k views along with 6k likes. “India is your family King Khan and the Family will watch it with you,” wrote a user while another commented, “so excited to see you on the big screen tomorrow.”

For the unversed, last week, Shah Rukh watched Pathaan with his family and the private photos of the special screening went viral on the internet. They started floating on the internet weeks after Madhya Pradesh Speaker Girish Gautam had raised objections to Deepika Padukone’s saffron bikini in the Pathaan trailer. Speaking to NDTV, Girish had said, “Shah Rukh should watch this film with his daughter, upload a picture and tell the world that he is watching it with his daughter”.

Talking about the film, CBFC has passed the Siddharth Anand directorial with a U/A certificate. The board committee suggested a total of 12 cuts in the film, which includes several terms and a couple of close-up shots of Deepika Padukone.

Besides, Deepika and Shah Rukh, the film will also feature John Abraham.
