Hospital Playlist fame Jo Jung Suk and Run On actress Shin Se Kyung are currently in talks to star in the new historical romance drama Sejak [Romanized title].
Following the reports of their casting, agencies for both Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung confirmed that they are currently reviewing the offer to star in the lead roles in the historical romance drama, which comes from The Crowned Clown writer Kim Sun Deok.
According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, Sejak draws the cruel love story between King Yi In, who is in danger of both royal and political power struggles, and Kang Hee Soo, who tries to seduce the King and get revenge, but gets seduced instead. Jo Jung Suk has been offered to play King Yi In, while Shin Se Kyung is in talks to play Kang Hee Soo.
Meanwhile, Jo Jung Suk is currently gearing up for the premiere of his films The Land of Happiness (working title) and Pilot (literal title). On the other hand, Shin Se Kyung is set to star in the second season of tvN’s Arthdal Chronicles coming out in 2023.
