Kangana Ranaut says she is “grateful” her father asked her to “get lost” when she dropped out of school; know why

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is widely known for expressing her unfiltered opinions on various matters. Recently, the Hollywood star Kate Winslet extensively spoke about parenting and regulating social media use among kids in an interview with BBC. Sharing her piece of mind on the same, Ranaut took to her Instagram story section and wrote a note.

The Queen actress wrote, “I see a lot from create of people whine about their childhood and blame their parents/ parenting for most of their failures, I feel very differently about it.” She further explained that parents do a huge favour by bringing a child into this world while calling it “an entirely selfless act.”

Later, the Tanu Weds Manu actress gives five points to give a peek into her upbringing. “Papa pulled out money from his business and funded my education in Chandigarh’s best institution and when I dropped out from school, he simply said ‘get lost’ and I did,” read one of the points.

Kangana concluded her note by writing, “I am grateful for everything my parents did for me and they are the best parents and so is everyone else’s… please be respectful and have gratitude, please know they did their best as they knew it.”

Talking about Kate Winslet’s interview with BBC, the actress spoke to the portal ahead of the release of her film I Am Ruth. During her interaction, she said, “I don’t have some magic formula. I don’t want to be accused of being a celebrity standing up on a soap box, but it is possible to just say, ‘No’. My children don’t have social media and haven’t had social media.” She also urged the government to get more involved in regulating social media for children.

Coming back to Ranaut and speaking of the professional front, currently, she is busy shooting the last leg of her upcoming film Emergency.
