Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal release a statement about their impending wedding before kicking off the celebrations

While Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal announced their wedding about three years ago, the actors had to shift the dates due to the pandemic. And now, the actors are all set to tie the knot next month and they are currently in Delhi where they have kicked off the celebrations and rituals. Ali and Richa had expressed their desire of a big fat Indian wedding so that they can celebrate this moment with all their close ones. Now, the actors have gone ahead and a released a special voice recording of them talking about their upcoming wedding on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the couple posted an audio clip of them recording a voice message saying, “Two years ago we formalized our union and just then the pandemic hit us all. Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other. And now, as we all enjoy this window of respite, we are finally celebrating with our families and friends and are so very touched and grateful for all the blessings that are coming our way. We offer you nothing but our love.”

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who were shooting for their respective web series Heeramandi and Mirzapur 3, have wrapped up their work commitments before flying off to Delhi earlier this week. The couple kicked off the wedding celebrations with an informal gathering of their friends and family, a day ago. The rituals and other functions are expected to start from September 30. The couple is expected to have roped in a 176 year old venue for the pre-wedding functions held in Delhi.

As for the wedding, it is expected to be an intimate affair that will be held in Mumbai. Richa and Ali have decided to host two grand receptions for their friends, family, and colleagues in Delhi and Mumbai, and it is expected to be a star studded affair.
