The most loved family drama on Star Plus, Anupama has been a huge success for over two years. It is a known fact that not only has the show been garnering immense viewership but it continues to be one of the top-rated Hindi fiction shows in India. And its storyline and performances have won hearts and often have become popular on social media too. While the show kick started in 2020, the continuous success that it has been receiving left the team emotional and they even celebrated it in an intimate manner.
To mark the success of retaining high TRPs constantly, the team had called for a celebration and they also took it as a chance to express gratitude towards the kind of loyalty audiences have shown towards them and their show. Post that, the team also hosted a cake-cutting ceremony. Talking about the show, Anupama aka Rupali Ganguli said, “I am eternally thankful to Rajan Shahi. He is a magician and of course, to Star Plus for making us what we are. Wherever we go I feel happy that people call me Anupama instead of Rupali, I feel proud. I am so excited to come back to work the next day and I hope this enthusiasm continues. We will keep going.”
She concluded it by saying, “I lost my dad in 2016 but when I walk on the sets I feel his presence. So, this is home to me. This is my home and I spend at least 12 hours on the sets and I love being here every day. I sincerely thank each and every one of them.”
Anupama is produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under the banner of Director’s Kut Productions, co-starring Gaurav Khanna as Anupama’s husband Anuj Kapadia, Sudhanshu Pandey as Anupama’s ex-husband Vanraj Shah, Madalsa Sharma as Vanraj’s wife Kavya Shah, Alpana Buch as Baa, among others. The show is currently experiencing several twists with the entry of Chavvi Pandey as Maya, who claims to be the biological mother of Anupama and Anuj’s adopted daughter Anu. The show airs on Star Plus at 10 pm.
