The life of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya has been under scrutiny ever since they announced their separation earlier this year. While rumours of them living separately were doing the rounds since last year, the couple took to social media to announce it. In fact, the two of them spoke about their current status on different occasions recently. Now, Samantha’s father Joseph Prabhu seems to be reminiscing about the moment her daughter got married and shared a series of photos from the ChaySam wedding on social media.
Joseph Prabhu took to Facebook to share a couple of photos from the wedding of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. For the uninitiated, the couple had tied the knot in a private yet lavish ceremony in Goa in October 2017. They also had two marriage ceremonies – one was a white Catholic wedding whereas the other one was the Hindu wedding with South Indian traditions. The photos shared were that of the Christian wedding and he also wrote a cryptic caption saying, “LONG LONG AGO ; THERE WAS A STORY ; AND IT DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE !!! Meanwhile, speaking about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya parting ways, the couple had shared a note on their social media announcing their separation. “After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support,” read their note.
Talking about the current status, rumours have it that Naga Chaitanya is dating actress Sobhita Dhulipala. Speaking about their relationship, Samantha had talked about it on Koffee With Karan 7 saying, “Like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah. As of now, yes.” However, she had also asserted that their relationship will be amicable in the future.
On the other hand, in an interview with ETimes, Naga Chaitanya had said, “Things that I feel are crucial to be shared and put out, I do inform the media about it, whether it’s good or bad. I come out, tell the people about it through a statement and that’s it. In our case, Samantha has moved on, I’ve moved on and I don’t feel the need to inform the world about it, more than that.”
