Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast was released in theatres on April 13. The film is now ready to premiere on Netflix on May 11. The film will have its digital release less than a month after its theatrical release. While the film had a major buzz around it, the critic reviews failed to live up to the buzz. The film also met with tough competition at the box office with Yash starrer KGF 2 which was released in theatres on April 14. Despite that, the film managed to earn well at the box office.
Beast was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar was Vijay’s first with the director and with actress Pooja Hegde.
Making the announcement, the OTT giant’s Instagram page wrote, “MAY YOUR DAY GET MEANER LEANER STRONGER Because Beast is coming to Netflix on 11th May in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi #BeastOnNetflix (sic).”
Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, and Malayalam actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das also feature in the film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar Beast is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The film’s music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
