YG Entertainment denies claims about BLACKPINK moving to The Black Label

South Korean female pop band BLACKPINK, which is managed by YG Entertainment, is reportedly not transferring to The Black Label. As Korean tabloid Soompi reports, it was recently reported that BLACKPINK will be transferring from YG Entertainment to The Black Label, the YG affiliate founded by Teddy.

The rumors also stated that YGE is in the midst of restructuring the agency. In response to the reports, YG Entertainment announced on December 30 that the reports are false and the group is not transferring.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK debuted in August of 2016 with the release of their first single album, Square One, under YG Entertainment. The members’ contracts with YGE will likely expire sometime in the second half of 2023.

The quartet is currently on their Born Pink World Tour and will begin the Asian leg in Bangkok on January 7.
