BigHit Music requests fans of BTS’ Jin to not send letters and gifts to military training center due to storage concerns

South Korean juggernaut BTS’ Jin, who is currently serving his mandatory military service, has been receiving enormous amount of love and support from fans – so much so that it’s getting difficult for the concerned authorities to contain them!

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, fans of BTS’s Jin have been asked to refrain from sending him letters and gifts. The agency said that the recruitment training center is a space shared by all soldiers and the purpose of the space is for military training, asking fans to stop sending letters and gifts to normalize Jin’s training.

“If letters and gifts from fans are delivered all at once it is difficult to store them and there is a risk of loss,” Jin’s agency Big Hit Music stated in a post shared on fan community platform Weverse Thursday. “So, we urge fans to refrain from sending more letters and gifts.”

The agencu also went on to ask fans to hold back from visiting the recruitment training ceremony when the artist finishes his training at the center in Gyeonggi. “In order to prevent safety accidents due to congestion at the site, we ask that fans hold back from visiting and ask that fans support and encourage Jin from afar,” said the agency.

“We appreciate the unwavering support and love for Jin that fans have shown and we will spare no effort to make sure that Jin fulfills his military service well and returns in good health. We will inform you about matters that require additional cooperation during the period of fulfilling the artists’ military service.”

Jin enlisted in the 5th Division Recruitment Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi on December 13 and then he’ll receive his official assignment after completing basic training. Jin’s expected discharge date from service is June 12, 2024.
