BTS’ Jimin named as the new global brand ambassador for Dior

Dior is a well-known brand with a reputation for luxury. Known for its beauty and classic femininity, the French fashion label has been a household name since 1946. Dior is a pioneering brand that has dominated the fashion industry for more than 70 years, and its distinctive aesthetic has shaped the industry from its inception. Dior retains its image as a maker of renowned haute couture while being innovative and classic. Dior revolutionised the industry with its ready-to-wear clothing, leather goods, accessories, and footwear. Now that the premium brand has established a partnership with K-pop icon, Jimin, a member of the South Korean juggernaut BTS, has been appointed as a worldwide ambassador by Dior.

As per WWD, the band and the French luxury brand have been partners since 2019, when Kim Jones, head of menswear at Dior, created stage clothes for their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” global tour. BTS has collaborated with companies including Louis Vuitton, Samsung, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s. Louis Vuitton designated BTS as brand ambassador in April 2021; this agreement is no longer active.

On the men’s side, Jimin joins a group of brand ambassadors that includes Sehun, a member of Exo, and Astro’s Cha Eunwoo. Both attended the brand’s pre-fall show held in front of the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

Jimin is seen in the brand’s photos sporting a vibrant ensemble from the Dior Summer ’23 collection. He was seen with a tonal Dior Oblique design on a sea green mesh jacket. He wore it with brown ankle boots and olive-coloured pants. His ensemble was completed by a green neckpiece and little hoops.

Meanwhile, BTS’ Jimin recently collaborated with BigBang’s Taeyang on his new single “Vibe.”
