Marvel star Jeremy Renner celebrated his 52nd birthday in a hospital this year and the actor expressed his gratitude towards the medical support he’s been receiving at Reno hospital, following the snow plowing accident. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated actor took to his Instagram Story to share a video of students dancing along to 50 Cent’s “In da Club” — with its “Go shorty, it’s your birthday” refrain while holding cards that spelled out Renner’s name.
“Thank you for the birthday love!!!” Renner wrote on his post. The special tribute video featured members of a youth organization called The Base Chicago. “I love you all sooooo much !!!! Thank you. You’ve made my spirits sing!!!!,” he commented on The Base’s Instagram post of the video.
On Friday, the Hawkeye actor shared a picture of himself on the hospital bed surrounded by the medical support team. “Thank you Renowned Medical ICU team for beginning this journey,” he wrote in the post shared on his Instagram story.
Jeremy Renner met with an accident on New Year’s Day and was airlifted to the hospital. “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while ploughing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,” his spokesperson had informed.
As per the report, Sheriff Darin Balaam said that Renner had been run over on Sunday by a snowcat, an engine-powered snow-clearing machine, after he tried to get back into it when it started to roll away. The Hawkeye star was airlifted from his home and underwent surgery for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.
