Jeremy Renner reveals he broke more than 30 bones in snowplow accident – “These bones will mend, grow stronger”

Jeremy Renner has been sharing several health updates on social media following his tragic snowplow accident that resulted in blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. In a recent Instagram post, Renner – who was discharged from the hospital earlier this week – posted a photo of himself Saturday morning lying in bed with his eyes closed as a physiotherapist performed therapy on his knee. “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular New Year’s …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love,” Renner wrote in the caption.

“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30-plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all.”

Many celebrities, including his fellow Avengers Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans, Heidi Klum, and Eiza Gonzalez, shared encouraging comments and also praised the actor for his strength. Jeremy Renner met with an accident on January 1 and was airlifted to a local hospital.

“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while ploughing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,” his spokesperson had informed Deadline.

Renner updated the public of his progress on Instagram January 3 with a photo of his bruised face from the hospital bed. The actor, who was run over by an extremely large snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds, underwent surgery the next day for his injuries. Renner was reportedly discharged on January 17.

As reported by People, in a January 3 press conference, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said authorities are currently investigating what caused the snowplow to move but that they “do not suspect any foul play,” adding, “We believe this was a tragic accident.”

Meanwhile on the work front, the two-time Oscar nominee currently stars in the returning Paramount+ series The Mayor of Kingstown. Earlier in 2022, he also teased an unscripted series he’s set to star in and produce at Disney+ in 2023 called Rennervations.
