Hollywood rapper Kanye West is again making headlines. The Yeezy founder is reportedly named suspect in a battery investigation after he allegedly tossed a woman’s phone when she refused to stop filming him.
As noted by Page Six, the ‘Donda’ rapper was leaving his daughter North’s basketball game when he noticed that he was being followed by paparazzies. Although unclear if the woman was a pap or just a fan, he allegedly got out of his car and confronted her while she filmed him from inside her own vehicle.
“You didn’t have to run up on me like that,” he told the woman holding her phone while recording. “If I say stop, stop with your cameras!” When the woman argued to film him because he was “a celebrity,” An upset Kanye allegedly then grabs the phone and throws it into the street.
As the report states, it’s unknown for how long the woman was filming West and what happened before he got out of his car that caused him to confront her. West is reportedly named suspect in a battery investigation, per TMZ.
According to TMZ, deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m. and were provided video evidence of the incident. Per the outlet, the woman was snapped leaving the sheriff’s department and talking to the police officers.
