The Flash star Ezra Miller pleads guilty to trespassing, sentenced to one year of probation and $500 fine

On Friday, Ezra Miller pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in a Vermont burglary case. The Flash star is required to pay a $500 fine and serve one year of probation in a plea deal. According to Variety, as part of the plea deal, Miller agreed to 41 conditions, which include no drinking, random drug tests and a commitment to continue seeking mental health treatment. The actor was initially charged with trespassing, burglary and petit larceny, with the latter two charges now dropped. Had those charges not been dropped, Miller could have faced a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.

“Ezra Miller pled guilty this morning to a misdemeanor unlawful trespass in Vermont Superior Court and accepted the conditions imposed by the court,” Miller’s attorney said in a statement. “Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process, and would once again like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health.”

Miller has been seeking ‘mental health’ treatment since August 2022 and issued a formal apology amid multiple pending cases after they were arrested twice in Hawaii, first for disorderly conduct and harassment and then for second-degree assault. They have also been accused of choking a woman in an Icelandic bar.

“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said in a statement at the time. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up for his Warner Bros.’ The Flash, the superhero’s first solo film due out on June 16.
