South cinema actor Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu announces release date while unveiling a new poster on the occasion of Diwali.
Varisu is a bilingual film which pairs Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna for the first time together. The film is titled Vaarasudu in Telugu. The film is confirmed to clash with Prabhas’ mythological drama Adipurush in the South Indian states during the Pongal festival.
Adipurush, written and directed by Om Raut, is based on the epic Ramayana. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in the pivotal roles and is due out in cinemas on January 12, two days before the Pongal/Sankranti holidays.
While announcing the release date for Varisu, the makers of the wholesome entertainer also dropped a new poster this Diwali on October 24 on the occasion of Diwali.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film has an extensive cast ensemble that includes Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Khushbu, Srikanth, Shaam, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha, Prakash Raj and Yogi Babu are in the cast.
Varisu will release during Sankranti/Pongal 2023.
