Park Ji Hoon in talks to star in new webtoon-based thriller drama Bastard

South Korean singer-actor Park Ji Hoon is reportedly in talks to star in new thriller drama Bastard (working title).

According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, based on a popular webtoon, Bastard is a thriller drama that tells the story of Seon Woo Jin, a high school student who lives alone with his father who is a psychopath that has committed murder all his life.

“The drama depicts the struggles of Seon Woo Jin who resolves to protect Yoon Gyeon, a transfer student who becomes the target of his father’s next murder.” In response to the reports of Park Ji Hoon’s casting in the drama, the actor’s agency Maroo Entertainment shared, “It is one of the projects that he has received an offer for.”

Meanwhile, Park Ji Hoon debuted as a member of Korean pop group Wanna One through Mnet’s survival program in 2017. After the disbandment of the group in 2019, he went on to make his solo debut through O’CLOCK the same year.

He also starred in multiple dramas namely, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Love Revolution, At a Distance, Spring is Green, and Weak Hero Class 1. He was recently confirmed to make his debut on the big screen with Audrey (literal title), due out in 2023.
