TXT surpasses 2 million sales with ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION in first week;’ becomes second fastest act to achieve the feat in Hanteo history

South Korean pop band Tomorrow X Together a.k.a. TXT, who made their comeback with their fifth mini album The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, has become only the second fastest act in Hanteo history to surpass 2 million sales.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, on February 1, Hanteo Chart reported that as of 3 p.m. KST that day, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION had sold a total of 2,007,061 copies—meaning that the album took less than six days to surpass 2 million sales.

With such a mark, the group has become only the second fastest act in Hanteo history to have a double-million seller album after BTS. As the report suggests, the three other artists in Hanteo history who have ever surpassed 2 million album sales in the first week of an album’s release are BTS, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids.

The band, which debuted in March 2019, is also the only artist to achieve such a feat this early in the career. With The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, TXT also became the second-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history. It also made them the first group to simultaneously chart all the songs in the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100.
